[thread!] okay I’ve joked about this before but I’m sincerely looking into a career change so if anyone on here has suggestions for a field w/ entry-level positions that could pay a living wage OR that my experience in visual merchandising + retail management + convention work —
— could help with please let me know!! I’m just looking for general brainstorming ideas unless someone has any miracles to pull for me lol. I’m still employed full-time and stable & everything so it’s NOT urgent, I’m just not really on a career path that I want to be on anymore +
+ I don’t want to spend more years on a definite wrong path & regret that later on. Plus I’m a little tired of risking my life every day in a store FULL of customers who don’t care about masks/distancing at all and it looks like we won’t be out of the woods for a long time so 😅
(I’ve also studied PR, advertising, social work, psychology, sociology, communications, ethics, + US history but I don’t have a bachelor’s yet for financial reasons so while I’m interested in any of those related fields I can’t apply for something with a degree requirement)
obvious bonus points for fields that potentially offer decent insurance, flexible hours, travel or WFH opportunities, etc. — but I promise I’m being realistic about this & know that a perfect job would be a bit tough to find in the middle of an apocalyptic national recession lol
