Let’s talk about “unity”.

When I think of unity, I think of fighting for the greater good of everyone. I think of speaking out and living the ideologies you claim to have.

I do not think of discounting experiences, dismissing feelings, covering your tracks, and gaslighting.

There’s no “unity” when you protect the men who harassed me with your silence, refuse to hold them accountable, and try to place the blame on me being angry and traumatized for being harassed.

My anger is absolutely not the problem. It’s a natural reaction to going through hell.

My anger is not holding back the community. If anything, it should be viewed as a challenge for progress.

There is no “moving forward” and “staying positive” until everything has been addressed & the individuals involved are punished.

Silence is complicity.

Fuck your “unity”.

I am eager to see the minutes from the @Section8Chicago board meeting last night and if my portion of the open floor will be included in full or whitewashed and dismissed by board members as it was last night.

I demand accountability and action.
