Food Myth you need to know.

Hi guys https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👋" title="Waving hand" aria-label="Emoji: Waving hand">

You must have heard it somewhere that you should only eat egg whites - the egg yolk is too high in cholesterol!

My dear, it’s one of the greatest food myth.
Although the yolk contains more cholesterol in comparison to the egg white but it also includes the majority of vitamins and minerals( iron and folate!) that are essential nutrients for any adult or growing child.
The latest research shows that the cholesterol in egg yolks may not have as much of a negative impact on your body’s cholesterol levels as once believed.

It is true that egg yolks are natural source of dietary cholesterol.

But the question is ...
Can they raise your cholesterol level? https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤔" title="Denkendes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Denkendes Gesicht">

Eggs were once avoided and criticized for cholesterol content. However, the totality of scientific research has shown no or little effect between dietary cholesterol and cardiac outcomes.

What does this mean ?
It means dietary cholesterol and cholesterol in the blood are only weakly related.

Some would even say egg yolks are fattening. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🧐" title="Gesicht mit Monokel" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Monokel">

The truth is https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="↘️" title="Südost gerichteter Pfeil" aria-label="Emoji: Südost gerichteter Pfeil">

Eggs have some fat, but it’s mostly the “good fat”.

They can help you LOSE fat because they are proteinous
The protein in eggs help people feel full and eat less.

Egg whites are perfect for building muscle.

They are a favorite among some athletes and fitness professionals due to their high-quality protein content, but nearly half the eggs content (43%) is also found in the yolk
Additionally, a recent study found that eating whole eggs actually resulted in greater muscle protein synthesis than the egg whites alone.

Egg yolks carry fat-soluble nutrients such as vitamin A,D,E choline and the antioxidants lutein/ zeaxanthin.
Plus, the fat , which is mostly unsaturated and found in the egg yolk, aids in the absorption of these essential and important egg components

You see the egg yolk is as important as the Egg white.

Moderate consumption of Egg(egg white and the yolk) is part of a healthy diet.
