Our Manchester Access Programme (MAP) Medicine & Dentistry Masterclass Series completed!
4 online sessions over 8 weeks, delivered to 120 pupils per session.

We had the idea of a Masterclass, to build confidence & inspire pupils to a career in medicine. This was going to be two full day events, delivered to all MAP medicine & dentistry students.
We had the material, we had the team.
Then #covid19 struck

Our immediate reaction, like everyone else, was to stop all face to face activities.
We were gutted, as we had looked forward to raising aspirations.

The dream of a Masterclass was over.

But then @Bright_Tweets came along......

People were actually continuing the work online.
We didn’t think that this was possible.

How can you do this?
This goes against everything we had done to raise aspirations.

The @Bright_Tweets webinars made the impossible seem possible.

The online Masterclass was born!
But how do you deliver?

Add a supportive MAP Team, who organized the event for us. @UoMSchools

The result has been one of the most ambitious but ultimately positive experiences.
An opportunity to motivate to medicine, despite a pandemic.
Thanks to an amazing & dedicated team who made this a reality.
