Disappointed at #HRC's endorsement of #EdMarkey for MA Senate. Until recently, I would have been hard-pressed to pick Sen. Markey out of a crowd. That's because when we were fighting for #TransLawMA and my son Jacob's rights, it was @joekennedy that showed up, time and again.

@joekennedy was there when @lemayjoe and I learned that Jacob had no protection in hospitals, camps and sports events here in MA. It was Joe who held our hand and told us, scared parents, he would see #translawma passed, and threw the weight of his office and privilege behind it.

It was @joekennedy who stuck his neck out when @MassGovernor vacillated, and would not support the bill publicly. It was Joe who led the response against repeal efforts #Yeson3 and called us to see how we were doing when the devastating news came that we had to fight yet AGAIN.

For all these reasons, and more, I trust @joekennedy to show up for my transgender son and all LGBTQ Bay Staters and will be voting for him on 9/1, regardless of which organization endorses his opponent. I know Joe is will walk with us every step of the way #KennedyforMA
