Today in the PBG chat we’ve been sharing our experiences of everyday sexism. As much as we like to think that times are changing and society is moving forward, some of these VERY recent encounters just prove that we simply need to do better...
Many of the encounters are beer related (hence the reason we felt the need to built this local community!) however aren’t exclusive to the beer world by any means. After posting these encounters on Instagram we only received further messages of similar experiences...
One of the things that surprised us (but after thought also sort of didn’t surprise us at all) was that some of these encounters involved ONLY women. We assume that these *sexist* situations are exclusive to Male encounters, but they really aren’t...
Anyway. With this said, here are just some examples of what we’re talking about...

These are just SOME of the responses we got today. Many of these are recent events. We need to do better!
And @ Preston, many of these happened in city centre establishments! Please make sure your staff aren’t being (potentially unintentionally) rude to female customers!
