We have mandatory speed limits to protect both the driver and others. How would it work in Alberta if we just "encouraged" people to drive at safe speeds? Of course, most people would probably be cautious, but some people would drive recklessly...
If @jkenney thinks we can just rely on people to be responsible in situations that risk lives, then let's eliminate speed limits, and legalize drunk driving. We can use the strategy of *encouraging* people to drive safely. C'mon. Let's have a mask mandate for public indoor spaces
