Revisions for @metrolosangeles NextGen Bus Plan are out. Everyone should take a look at how service will be changed and streamlined for this. This approach of improving frequency has proven effective in other regions. https://arellano.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapSeries/index.html?appid=955582cec83e4677ad060e993acf61cc#
The best news for #WeHo in these revisions in the saving of Line 218 albeit in truncated format. It will now travel over Laurel Canyon between Ventura Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd. (I would personally extend it north to the Orange Line and south to Wilshire.)
Rapid 704 and Local 4 are combined into new frequent Line 4 for service between Santa Monica beach and Downtown L.A. through Westwood, Century City, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Hollywood, Silverlake, Echo Park via Santa Monica Blvd. and Sunset. #WeHo
Local lines 2 and 200 are combined with Limited 302 for new frequent Line 2 between UCLA and UCLA via the Sunset Strip and Alvarado. #WeHo
For me, the biggest NetGen Bus Plan change is the new frequent Line 180, which combines the 217, 780, 180, 181 into one powerhouse line via Fairfax / Hollywood/ Los Feliz / Colorado. This line really, REALLY, needs bus lanes on Fairfax and Hollywood to work effectively. #WeHo
