Allyship: where you are privileged your responsibility is to remove weight off of those who are not.

Black men should be teaching each other instead of asking black women for help.

White folks should be unlearning and teaching themselves instead of asking black people to teach
It’s unethical to ask the person who is negatively affected by oppression that you by default benefit from about how they are affected. Every day they deal with labor and maybe even their own set of things to unlearn so to teach you is additional UNPAID labor.
The problem with all the unlearning is that people want all the answers without all the work that comes with it. And they’ll ask people who already did the work for answers, and 9/10 times the people who did the work were doing it to liberate themselves from oppression >>
>>NOT to learn how to stop being oppressive. Google is free. If you don’t know how to use google ask a white activist or any activist that fits your “demographic”. But don’t go asking the oppressed to teach you how you can stop oppressing them. Not without paying them their worth
