making a thread to appreciate hendery’s talents and traits because he is more than a funny guy and a pretty face! he is constantly trying to improve and present the best version of himself to the world.
1. hendery is an amazing lyricist. he took part in writing five of wayv’s songs, making him the member with the most writing credits thus far. he mainly writes the chinese lyrics, and some of them are really really well written imo (his mind...)
2. hendery wrote the majority of the lyrics for stand by me! this song is special to him because it’s written for his members and it talks about the very day before they debuted.
3. he once mentioned about how he wishes he could play the drums, and now he’s getting more proficient at it after taking classes and practicing very hard on his own :) (in a recent fansign he mentioned that he’s still practicing and that he’ll release a cover when it’s perfect)

5. hendery was casted by sm while walking down the street. he called himself a ‘blank slate’ when he first joined sm. he has worked extremely hard to get to where he is now, and i think we should admire the fact that he’s achieved so much in just a short span of two years!
6. taking a moment to appreciate hendery’s visuals! right after their debut, he caught the attention of many fans, earning himself the nickname prince eric for his prince-like appearance! here are some pictures i’ll let them speak for themselves :)
7. hendery is an amazing dancer! considering that he started off with no background in dance at all, he’s really worked hard to get to where he is now. he was even praised for his dancing on the show “south korean foreigners”!
8. hendery also did a dance cover of wow by post malone with yangyang and lucas for wayv’s own rainbow v series, where they split up into smaller groups to work on projects of their own! he participated in choreographing the dance as well :)

9. hendery is also fluent in korean, mandarin, cantonese! he can also speak really good english (watch his ig lives!!) the fact that he can speak so many languages/dialects is a big achievement in itself and i think we should recognise it!

hendery is on his way to be an all-rounder and he has accomplished so much since his debut! he’s one of the most funny members but i hope people also recognise him for his talents and achievements! <3 [here’s him teaching xiaojun how to play the drums]
