A thread about Hwasa and her mental health because she is human before she is an idol.
Her reply when she was asked how are you feeling today in Maria Pre-Interview was very worrisome.

Hwasa drew the storyboard for Maria mv and included this scene though Mamamoo members came before she could do it.
Maria is a very fun song but the lyrics is not as happy. She talks about being sad and tired from all the hate and comments
When she was talking about her song LMM(Lost my mind )she talked about going home and crying even though a lot of good events happened during the day.

In the lyrics for her song nobody else, she talks about being all alone and asks why doesn’t she love herself
Her answers to questions in this interview was so sad but she said them with a smile

When she was asked what makes her different from others, her answer was confidence, passion and sadness
There are a lot of stereotypes and misunderstandings that surrounds Hwasa and she has talked about how they bother her.
She mentioned in her vogue interview that although she eats a lot she ends up losing the weight because she worries a lot
I’m still adding to this thread but all these information she put out shows she needs out support and love more than ever. If you want to support her you can start by leaving positive comments on her instagram because she checks it
This quote from Maria album really makes me sad. She has struggled with loving herself for a very long time and malicious comments only makes it harder for her
She wrote be calm after losing her uncle and the lyrics are so deep. A lot of translators struggled capturing the full essence of the song. The title be calm can also be translated to feeling numb
I can’t talk about be calm without including this quote from Hwasa that was in the music video.
We all preach about mental health when something terrible happens but look the other way while it was all happening. Retweeting, liking and even looking away when bullying and harassment is happening makes you complicit.
Hwasa on stage is a strong and confident woman but Hyejin off stage is a young woman growing and learning to love herself in a world that criticizes everything about her because she dare to unique. The hate has gotten so bad that I’m so scared for her wellbeing.
Hwasa mv for the song LMM that I spoke about just came out and it captures everything on this thread beautifully. Hwasa is one of the strongest person I know and she shares that from her comments to her music.
