Women can be trash, that doesnt mean theres anything deep to back this up. Women have face thousands of years worth of oppression, the world can at least give us the 3 word statement "men are trash", and let it stay with us.

Think of it as a reclaiming? Like how only gays are allowed to say the f-word, or lesbians are allowed to say the d-word. This is backed by years of oppression, of derogatory comments turned into something that's just theirs. In many ways, "men are trash" functions the same way.

But okay, I'll confess: I used to not like the term "men are trash". I just didn't feel right for me to say it. I also still don't say it much. However that doesn't justify the need for the statement "women are trash".

There's a deeper significance to "men are trash" that its counterpart will never have. Men essentially weren't as oppressed and were never treated like trash the way we were. "Men are trash" is something only unique to us women, and for some, it's the only thing they have.
