Pseudo secular party like Congress in their 60 years of rule successfully managed to divide Muslims into two categories- 'Good Muslims' and 'Bad Muslims'.

Whenever a riot broke out or an extra judicial killing occurred, 'good Muslims' were made to believe that it must have been the 'bad Muslims' who were on the wrong side of the law.
They were made to believe that a 'secular' party like Congress

would never target someone on the basis of their religious identity.
Hence, this pseudo secularism of Congress over a period of time managed to pitch 'good Muslims' against 'bad Muslims' and vice versa.
But 'We plan and Allah plans, and Allah is the best of planners'.

To bridge this divide between Muslims, Allah used none other than a communal party like BJP, whose coming to power on an anti Muslim rhetoric and its subsequent policies against Muslims like CAA, NRC, Article 370, Ram mandir affected Muslims

cutting across the binary of 'good Muslims' and 'bad Muslims', thus putting the 'good Muslims' sitting in their ivory towers in the same bracket as 'uncultured' ghetto residing 'bad Muslims'.
The BJP made the 'good Muslims' realise - 'Woh bhi pele gaye the, Tum bhi pele jaoge'.

The new found love of a decent amount of 'good Muslims' towards 'bad Muslims' can be attributed to this fact. Another after effect of these recent events is a sudden surge in the number of 'unapologetic' muslims who have began 'wearing their identity on their sleeves'.

The sudden rise in number of Muslim voices in India who have began to 'feel the pain' of Kashmiris can also be understood in this backdrop.

What remains to be seen is that once the dust settles in and the weather gets pleasant, will the 'good Muslims' stand side by side with the 'bad muslims', 'sympathize' with the kashmiris, 'wear their Muslim identity with pride' or as feared, run away back to their ivory towers.
