Considering the bile spread in the preceding months, and utter glee that was apparent on December 13, I can't really blame people to be honest https://twitter.com/lewis_goodall/status/1283370345345449985
People are angry and despondent, they're going to lash out, and this country's press are a ripe target for it
The furore around cancel culture for example is a symptom of that, people aren't going to take BS from the press anymore, they will push back, forcefully if they can

Outside of the political lobby, I think a lot of the press in this country is good, I like the Guardian on cycling, food, sports, films & music
I also think people were right to expect it to be the one paper that wasn't openly hostile to the left, but it couldn't even be that

The real shame is that those who've tanked The Guardian reputation, e.g. the Freeman's and Freedland's who pushed to try and prevent The Guardian endorsing Labour at the last election won't suffer
It'll be the junior staff, the ones editing video content etc who will get the axe

It will primarily be radio and local journalists who will suffer at the BBC too, they genuinely do a good job

The likes of their Political Editor or the fascist who picks the Question Time audience who have been instrumental in destroying the BBC's reputation for impartiality reducing it to a meek state broadcaster that churns out propaganda and client journalism, will be completely fine
