Middle-easterns have to face harsh punishments (like executions, getting whipped, mutilation) , lack of human rights and without anyone to stand up for them or to be their voice when needed the most. 2/x
IRI or the Islamic Republic Of Iran is known for the 1979 islamic revolution that took place in February. Which resulted in the overthrow of the monarchy of Pahlavi or also known as the Shah (the king) and starting an islamic dictatorship in our country. 3/x
and it resulted in the abolition of secularism in Iran. Since then people in power started the fires of injustice and oppression under the name of Islam, many of the official started to ignore the needs of country and the people, stealing money and running out of the country- 4/x
sending their children to the most expensive universities across US and Europe, forcing women to wear hijab, not allowing minorities and people of other religions to study, start a business, practice their culture etc (it’s basically the crystal night for every religious - 5/x
minority here), and after Trump’s presidency, the pressure of sanctions got more and more which resulted in an economic crisis in our country. At november 2019, The gas price went high as fuck, A problem led to another and it got people into protesting. 6/x
Protesters did not only speak up for the gas price, but for the regime and the supreme leader overall. People started to shout " Down with the officials " once the government replied with IRCG and police shooting at people. 7/x
