I need to address my comment on Sorcha Rowan's announcement

I had an interaction with Sorcha on my NSFW acct during which he "came out" to me. When he wrote about interactions w/ other ppl, I assumed that was how it was always approached. That he eventually came out during them.
I did not know at the time (bc the stories hadn't been shared yet) that other interactions were much different and involved never telling that truth. That's not okay, and I dont approve of that. I obviously see how that violates people, especially lesbians. Its a violation.
I don't think a man using a woman's name to write erotica is an issue. We all have our reasons for pen names, and I think policing why will keep some people from being able to write in a genre (women in SFF for example).

I do think what Sorcha did to people was wrong and gross.
Its not up to me to accept any apology from Sorcha as I was not victimized. I stand with the people who have been harmed and will follow their lead. I am sorry for commenting before I had other stories and to anyone hurt/confused by that comment.
Yes, being trans impacted how I accepted this. When Sorcha told me the truth, I thought "Okay, this guy is exploring gender. Gotta be supportive of that." Trans ppl are also pressured to come out while dating when we shouldn't be, and this had echoes of that. But I was wrong.
This isnt like that, and not just because Sorcha isn't trans or exploring gender. Sorcha allowed lesbians to believe that he is a lesbian woman and had a number of interactions while choosing never to be open with those lesbians. I get "coming out" is scary, but that's predatory.
All I can do is apologize for not knowing the full picture. I feel awful for supporting behind someone who hurt people regardless of whether or not I knew of the harm then. Nothing will make ppl realizing today they were violated feel better, but at least know I'm with you.
