Hello twitter friends. For the rest of the week I'm caretaking the midday prayers that @KtTup shares with us weekdays. Would you like to join me shortly?
Here is the liturgy

Today as we prepare to spend time together please would you join me praying for Jeanette for God to hold her in his arms as she remembers her son who died a year ago. Let's also pray for all those who are grieving at this time.
God does care.
God does understand.
God does care.
God does understand.
1/
We meet together in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Be with us Spirit of God
Nothing can separate us from your love
Breathe on us breath of God
Fill us with your saving power and grace
Speak in us wisdom of God
Bring strength, healing and peace

The Lord is here
His Spirit is with us.
The Bible reading today is 2 Corinthians 1 v 3 – 5 (MSG)
All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times,

and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah,

but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.
Katie’s questions:
What did you notice?
How are you doing through this pandemic?
Who are good friends who help you through hard times?

5/ Paul reminds us that as a kind father has compassion on his children, so God tenderly cares for each one of us. God can use all of our experiences to help us bless others - if we let him. It can be scary to open up to someone and say “this happened to me”.
6/ If we let go and let God in, we will find he can turn what we may have thought of as bad/negative experience into a positive by blessing us as we share with those God brings us into contact with.
So, you've stuck with me this far but now you think "what planet is she on?!"

I prayed about today's Bible passage and found God gave me the words I typed in 5 & 6 of this thread. I am not perfect only God is. I make mistakes. Throughout my life I have struggled with health problems but God has never left me and is always with me. I have found that God

8/ I have found that God is very patient and loving with me and uses my "bad" times as well as my "good" times. It is scary being open with people you only know through twitter but God is what is important not me. I pray that you will be encouraged today knowing you are loved
9/ Let’s praise God for his love and care for us and ask him to give us the courage to share with others, trusting God to bring good out of our shared experiences.
Will you pray with me?
Lord God we come to you just as we are.
We need you and we need you now.

We are sorry for the times we feel we have let you down and thank you that you are the God of new beginnings. Please fill us afresh with your love, your joy and your peace and help us to go forwards with you.
All our problems we send to the cross of Jesus,
