Kyoko Kimura filed a complaint with The Broadcasting Ethics & Program Improvement Organization (BPO) today (7/15).

- The third anonymous staff member came forward & said that Hana was forced to shoot a scene even though she was in a state of shock & hyperventilation https://twitter.com/bunshun_online/status/1283295929085227010
- On July 10th, Hana's memorial service (to mark the 49th day of her death) was done privately at a cemetery in Tokyo

- Hana's grandmother mentions that she loved Hydrangeas like Hana did

- At her grandmother's birthday party, they watched a video of Hana's match together
- Kai Kobayashi said that after he had left Terrace House, Fuji TV requested "additional shooting". They wanted him to come back to the house to shoot a scene and play it as if it happened before he had left

- He said this practice was common while he was on Terrace House
- Kai also said that he was no longer able to trust the staff due to the ridiculous instructions they gave him (touching Hana's chest, etc.)

- Since he left Terrace House, he would ignore any inquiries from the show staff
- On 5/14, Terrace House released a series of videos called "After the Costume Incident". The videos reached approximately 560,000 views. Hana endured an influx of comments attacking her.
CW: Panic Attacks/Suicidal Thoughts

- In the YouTube video, Hana was talking to a housemate about the incident. When the housemate gives up & leaves, she cries because she knows she was responsible.

The video ends when she leaves the room, and cries out:

"I feel like dying."
While filming this scene, Hana fell down the stairs and suddenly hyperventilated. The program staff rushed to help Hana and take care of her. She laid down on the living room sofa, wrapped in a blanket. The staff started reshooting with the other housemate there.
The anonymous staff member pointed out how inhumane and regretful this action was.
[Some of these LINE messages were already shared by Bunshun but now there's actual context behind them]

"I started hyperventilating, but the camera turned around. I've finally calmed down, so I'll try to get some sleep now...(sobs)"

"It really hurts."
"I felt like I was dying when I fell down to the floor a while ago, but the camera kept chasing me around."
On November 1st, 2016, The chief producer of Terrace House, Ayaka Matsumoto asserted that she tries to prevent moving the camera too much to avoid subjectivity. If a performer/member is saying something good or is crying, she'd zoom-in. She wanted to leave it up to the viewers.
Another staff member argued that the true state inside of the filming site was very different. The cameraman would move along with the director's instructions to grasp any quarrels. The shooting would stop when there would be amicable chats in the dining room.
The camera would chase the suffering young member on "stage" with instructions such as "argue more violently"/"lose your temper".
In another incident, another performer who suffered from online slander cried and tried to escape the cameras. There's a monitor room where the staff can track all of the members' movements. A cameraman was instructed via intercom to wait by the front door.
When the extra footage was released, Hana messaged the staff over LINE.

She showed them a malicious DM sent by an anonymous account on Twitter:

"Hey, hey, when are you gonna die?"

"Isn't terrible to die? If you die, you won't be able to watch your favorite show, TH, ok?"
Kyoko stated that when she watched Terrace House: OND, before Hana appeared on the show, she noticed that the members also got a lot of online slander. The staff was fully aware of the flaming. However, when Hana died Fuji TV said "they didn't expect it to burn".
Despite Hana's vocal concerns, Fuji TV still went on and broadcasted The Costume Incident on national TV. If they cared, they wouldn't have gone through with it. And this is why she doesn't trust Fuji TV/Terrace House.
From Hana's LINE messages, it appeared that she tried to endure the filming process.

"The staff who feel bad were just trying to film the final product. Nothing can be done about it."
"After all, Terrace House is for entertainment. I thought we could only be stars if we appeared on the show. I thought that the people who wrote their impressions didn't realize that there is another person behind the screen."
"Kyoko appeals to BPO"

From the staff's testimonies and LINE messages, it's clear that Fuji's insistence that "no one was pressured to do anything" and "we talked to Hana before shooting" was one-sided and far from what actually happened in this situation.
The interviewers contacted Fuji TV for comments on these testimonies, shooting additional footage, etc. They replied that it was necessary to film multiple times, do cuts, and retakes due to equipment limitation + to portray the situations more clearly to the viewers.
Fuji TV also claimed that they took some time and made sure that Hana "calmed down" before they continued filming her. They claimed they saw no physical issues so they resumed filming Hana.

Kyoko urged Fuji TV to thoroughly investigate the issues of mistreating the TH members.
