I’m not jealous of rich people bc of the things they have, I’m jealous of rich people because they get to pursue their passions in life without having to work a gruelling 40+ hours a week job literally just to get by

my dream is to work in the film/TV industry (behind the cameras so screenwriting and directing) but that’s never gonna happen bc it’s not like I have connections or the money to produce my own film and I need to focus on a realistic long-term career goal:/

I do write as a hobby but it’s hard when you work a job where you’re on your feet all day and will be even harder once I start studying again (to go into a field which is achievable-I’m still interested in but obviously not as passionate about as film and fashion and writing)

Kendall Jenner just asked her mum if she could be a model even tho she can’t pose for her LIFE n got it handed to her and then has the nerve to say that her connections and fame made it “harder” for her to get exposure meanwhile other models live in 2 bedroom apartments with-

7 other girls and starve themselves just to get a casting:/// the delusion

love the assumption that anyone who’s fed up of nepotism and unequal distribution of wealth is just lazy and bitter lots of people work their arses off, fucking endless hours as civil servants and care workers and teachers and literally DO NOT HAVE THE ENERGY to “hustle”

obviously you can do stuff that you genuinely enjoy on the side, and I spend most of my free time writing and editing stuff, but as is the case with most other creative industries, it’s very hard to get your foot in the door w/o connections and having time and recourses to-

attempt to do this is a luxury. It is naive to believe otherwise.
