This is a long & useless thread on cultural evolution told from my POV & based off personal experience(s).

Like I said it& #39;s long & useless so scroll past but if you insist on reading, pls don& #39;t move mad in my mentions cos I& #39;ll give you doublehttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🙄" title="Gesicht mit rollenden Augen" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit rollenden Augen">

Many years ago, as a boy I washttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👇" title="RĂŒckhand Zeigefinger nach unten" aria-label="Emoji: RĂŒckhand Zeigefinger nach unten">
going to school in Aba handheld by an aunt when I witnessed something rather spectacular at Waterside Bridge OgborHill.

A group of touts were beating & stripping two ladies naked, did they steal? No! Ritualists? No! Were they criminals? Not at all...so what was their offence?
They were wearing trousers. Shocking yeah? But true AF!

As at then in Aba, women didn& #39;t wear trousers and it was apparently an abomination for a woman to wear trousers.

Now those two ladies were young yuppy girls who came back from God knows where but somewhere where women
could wear trousers, they probably felt such "modernization" has reached Aba but obviously they were wrong as they paid for that false presumption with blood, tears & sweat literally.

Now to my main aim of writing this long & useless thread, there was something that particularly
struck me about that incident; the reaction of the gathered crowd.

A few people were of course begging the touts to take it easy on the girls but almost every other person including us just looked on with interest.

I was young AF but I can still vividly remember details
95% of the crowd looked on with a mien of "they deserve it", the other 5% were those who felt the humiliation was much & were begging for the girls but mind you they were begging in the same way you& #39;ll beg for a man who is about to be stoned to death for stealing a bag of rice, a
"We know he& #39;s wrong, he stole rice but forgive him, killling him is too much" type of begging. I didn& #39;t get to see what eventually happened as my impatient aunt dragged me out the place after catching the gist & seeing the scenes but that memory is stuck with me for life.
Decades later, look where we at; imagine going to Aba now to tell a girl not to wear trousers, people will just bundle you to the nearest psychiatric home...but this is the same place where girls were beaten, stripped naked & harassed for doing such just 2-3 decades ago.
See, cultures & tradition evolve WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. Sociocultural evolution does not respect your wishes or beliefs.

It& #39;s OK to question these changes as they come.
It& #39;s OK to challenge them if you like.
But it& #39;s very stupid to believe they won& #39;t come cos they will.
Like I said, sociocultural changes don& #39;t respect you or your beliefs, they happen regardless of them.

This thread applies to almost every facet of our day to day lives.

Let& #39;s try sexual; just 10-15 years ago, stuff like "eating pussy" or anal sex were almost unheard of here.
but look where we are today.

Did your sex culture listen to "oral sex is a taboo, not our culture, we must not accept it" & stop evolving to normalize oral sex? No! It didn& #39;t.

It didn& #39;t wait for your acceptance, it just evolved & now almost everyone eats pusssy or sucks dick.
The world is changing very fast & that change does not need your approval.

You either choose to change with it or stay stuck in the old.

Either way, you deal with the consequences of your choice but one thing is certain;

Culture will evolve whether you like it or not.
