Morning Blues, all Premier League, UK football supporters and Good Morning to Tom Werner chairman of @LFC.

"It was a bad day for football" but not as bad when @fenwaysports turned up with their baggage on Merseyside.

I'm sure many will remember 4th April, the day.... https://twitter.com/footballdaily/status/1283016249690202112
2.

Liverpool FC furloughed their non playing staff in an attempt to gain financial support from taxpayer money with the uproar coming from all corners of the UK.

Well its not the first time Tom Werner has attempted to take public money from the UK or a UK corporation. The @BBC
3.

"The BBC is primarily funded by the license fee" which equates roughly to the tune of almost £4Bn per year or £157.50 per person.

Although Tom Werner, or his production company, Carsey-Werner lost their lawsuit it didn't stop the audacious attempt to access or recoup money.
4.

From a tv programme that was now doomed to fail.

"The Cosby Show" starring Tom Werner's "longtime friend" (described below by the John Henry owned Boston Globe below) Bill Cosby.

There were numerous allegations made against Werner's "longtime friend and collaborator"....
5.

Including rape, drug-facilitated sexual assault, sexual battery, child sexual abuse and sexual misconduct.

Cosby would be found guilty of aggravated indecent assault and sentenced to 3-10 years in prison.

The question is, if Bill Cosby and Werner were "longtime friends"...
6.

Would you expect the @LFC chairman to know of the assaults or at least know of the rumours linking Cosby to alleged rape and child abuse?

Let's look at those allegations made against Bill Cosby.
7.

March 2000

Lachele Covington files a police report accusing Cosby of touching her inappropriately.

No charges were laid against Cosby.

From the NYPost
8.

January 2005

Former Temple University employee Andrea Costand files a police report accusing Cosby of drugging her and comitting sexual assault.

Costand later files a civil suit citing 12 other anonymous accusers.
9.

2008 - The Playboy Mansion

During his time visiting the Playboy mansion in 2008, former model Chloe Goins accuses Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her. Goins files a police report in 2015.
11.

Staying with comedian Buress, he would later reveal on The Jimmy Kimmel Show that he received a death threat after calling Bill Cosby a rapist.

Buress said "The weird thing about getting a death threat from a male bodybuilder on Facebook is when you have one mutual friend"
12.

November 2014

Former "America's Next Top Model" judge Janice Dickinson accuses Cosby of sexual assault.

Cosby's lawyers would later brand Dickinson "a liar"
13.

January 2015

NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt "Critical mass of accusers ended Cosby Show"

Yet later in 2015, Tom Werner would take a very different view despite the mounting allegations against his friend Bill Cosby.
14

8 months later in August 2015 Werner "hoped the cultural impact of The Cosby Show would survive the wave of scandal surrounding" an alleged rapist and child abuser.

Werner also said "The legacy of the show is very important to me"

More important than the rights of a woman..
15.

Or 15 women who had come forward by the time the NBC had made their official stance in Jan 2015.

Was the Liverpool chairman Werner trying to recoup what appeared to be a loss of potential earnings?
16.

It's also revealed from the Grernblatt interview that "over the years we'd heard some of those accusations and knew there were a couple of settlements"

Would a "longtime friend" or a production company as big as Casey-Werner hear of the same "accusations"?
17.

In the same August, "Werner's defence" of Cosby would lead to a joint statement which appears to paint the actor and comedian in a different light.

Werner said "reports are beyond our knowledge" taking into account NBC's Greenblatt's statement 8 months earlier.
18.

By that August and "Werner's defence" 46 women had came forward to accuse Bill Cosby on a number of accounts.
19.

Carsey-Werner are left with a failed tv show with costs to generate and looking at what money the production company looked for in 1990 from NBC for The Cosby Show ($100m) how would they generate some of the lost monies?

By suing the BBC and public funded money.
20.

Carsey-Werner filed a lawsuit against the BBC for copyright infringements over the use of Cosby Show material in the documentary - "Bill Cosby - Fall of an American Icon".

The BBC/Sugar Films used 7% of the show's footage and won the lawsuit against the Liverpool FC.....

Are you left with questions after reading this? #MeToo

Why do the owners associated with @LFC consider it fair to continually go after UK taxpayer/public money?

How did Werner have no knowledge of rape and child abuse allegations when NBC had?
23.

Why did Tom Werner have no knowledge of the accusations when a comedian's video went viral and women had also filed report's against Bill Crosby for sexual assault?

What is your opinion on Fenway Sports Group's latest revelation did they turn a blind eye?
