A lot of talk about the @EdmontonEsks name fiasco refer to the team as an amorphous "football club." But they are a multimillion dollar community-owned corporation spending tens of thousands to wage a PR campaign to keep their racist brand. So who are they really? (THREAD)
This is the board of directors. They are who are ultimately responsible for the name of the team, and for all the consultants being paid a lot to astroturf the heck out of their campaign to keep the name.
Janice Agrios is a corporate real estate lawyer in Edmonton.

According to her profile on her practice's website, she has experience working with Indigenous communities.

A search of both provincial and federal election websites turned up only one donation from Janice, to the Federal Liberals in 2015.
Ian Murray runs his own consulting firm.
Ian Murray's LinkedIn notes that he was the President of the PC Party Constituency Association for an Edmonton riding.

He is a longtime and frequent contributor to the PC and recently UCP Parties in Alberta.

He also made a one-time donation to the Federal Liberals in 2015.
Ian Murray is also the President of the Board of Fairness Alberta, an advocacy organization that tries to "inform Canadians about the magnitude of contributions Albertans make to Canada" and perceived unfair treatment of Alberta by the Federal government

He's also chair of the Stollery Children's Hospital board of trustees.

He was formerly the chair of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce.

Craig Corbett is a real estate developer/manager.
He's made provincial donations to the NDP, the Alberta Party, and a Craig Corbett made a 2006 donation to the PCs in Calgary in 2006. As well as the federal Liberals.
Kara Flynn is VP Government & Public Affairs of Syncrude.

She is Syncrude's lead for Aboriginal Relations.
Kara Flynn has donated to the Alberta UCP, and Federal Conservative parties.
In 2013, Flynn received the QEII Diamond Jubilee Medal for "her work with Aboriginal people and communities."
