Japan’s print shops are in a life-or-death situation as comiket was 80% of their revenue😭 people are talking about supporting small print shops because a lot of them might not survive…if anyone is ever interested in printing in Japan, I can answer any questions you might have!
I like Print-On’s specialty options a lot cause they are super affordable (they do lots of sales and promotional prices for submitting early) http://print-on.jp/doujin/comic/comic_main.htm
You can even put in stuff like a holographic color insert page (pic 1) for free into each book on some promotions

I'll thread info specific to each print shop below the individual tweet. I'll update this moment to include more print shops later!
English fandom should honestly print and sell fanfic too 😢 fanbooks in English are already too rare, and a lot of printshops even let you submit formats like PDF for novels
I like STARBOOKS pricing system, but you need to reserve a “submit manuscript deadline” in advance. They also have a gorgeous gallery of example work! You can compare different paper+embossing combinations here https://www.starbooks.jp/doujin/foilInfo/index.php?c=15&m=s
