1. Chrissy is so fortunate and she knows what she’s signed up for, but no one should have to go through this. For three years QaNon followers have been viciously attacking her and I haven’t said anything publicly but as her friend I can’t stand to see it anymore.
2. No amount of fame or money insulates someone from this insanity and how deeply hurtful it is especially since she’s a parent. And no amount of fame or money should mean that she deserves it or should just put up with it.
3. It’s a horrific feeling to have hundreds of thousands of people (if not more) falsely call you a pedophile all day, nearly everyday. And no, they’re not bots. There are real people who believe this. They are our neighbors. Some of you have them in your family.
4. For years these people have been doing things like posting FAKE versions of Jeffery Epstein’s flight logs saying that Chrissy was a passenger. None of these folks seem to be able to do math, she was a minor when they’re accusing her of being a pedophile with Epstein
5. Again, this isn’t bots. There are elected officials who believe this stuff. There will be, without a doubt, QaNon believers elected to Congress this year. I’m not guessing this, I know this based on who has won primary contests.
6. These people are deeply unwell and they are dangerous to the public and to themselves. I can’t stand to watch someone who means the world to me go through this anymore. Every day her heart is broken because she has to read these comments.
7. And it’s not avoidable. They follow her wherever she goes. On every social media platform. And you know what, no one should have to deal with being falsely called a pedophile by tons of people everyday. It’s just not right & it shouldn’t be the price of admission for anything
8. So what’s the solution? Hard to guess exactly what it is beyond social media platforms coming up with better harsssment protocols, but I do know this...this isn’t a handful of people. And as much as I don’t want to give attention to it, we must. Ignoring it has not helped.
