I mean, let's look at this logically - never mind what the experts have stated themselves because the Hun is not interested in this when they have a racist barrow to push. I'm talking bare-bone basics here for even the most stupid HS reader to grasp.

1. ABC reported 10k at the Melb BLM rally. Other sources state up to 500k. Aerial photography suggests the number was similar to crowds I've seen at Invasion Day rally so for the sake of argument, I'm going to state between 60-80k

COVID-19 is extremely infectious. There's a crowd of between 60-80k standing right there, waiting for it to rip through. Despite this, the Herald Sun is claiming it managed to infect only 2 people (even though neither of them were infected at the rally) out of tens of thousands?

3. If BLM had been the cause of community transmission, the numbers would have been at least in the thousands 4 weeks ago. They weren't. We would have been locked down again then OR we would, by now, have continued to grow exponentially from that point. It didn't happen.

4. Instead, we have seen growth from another source - the state government's quarantining programme. This has been stated as such at a media conference which I am sure the Herald Sun attended.

5. I was not an organiser of BLM rally Melb, but I stand in complete solidarity with the organisers and the extraordinary efforts they went to to ensure the participants, and by extension the broader community, were kept safe as we were marching for our lives.

6. I therefore believe that the media at large, and the Herald Sun today, owes this dedicated team of organisers an apology for continually trying to demonise them and for misrepresenting actual facts. A reasonable section of the media has handled this in a completely racist way

7. That's about all I wanted to say except to anyone who follows my tweets, always make an attempt to seek truth when engaging with the media, particularly when a vast portion of it is owned by rich white boomer men. Cheers
