/ Just got my Conservative ballot, my rankings were 1. MacKay 2. O'Toole 3. Lewis and didn't rank Sloan. Unlike most Tories, I believe LPC is heavily favoured to win next election so we are likely choosing next opposition leader, but if a chance arises
/ MacKay can win if opportunity arises and even if loses leaves party as a credible threat thus LPC will feel less emboldened to do dumb things. O'Toole has sound platform with few exceptions but his rhetoric is turn off to key swing voters so
/ if he is leader I will vote Tory, but pretty confident Trudeau will get a majority. Lewis has potential and having a Black female is an asset, but her social conservatism and lack of French are deal breakers, but still hope she runs and becomes MP
/ I would suggest she run in Whitby or something in 905 where Tories have a shot if things go right not Scarborough which I don't believe they can win. Sloan won't be next leader but he is a huge drag on party.
/ And unless him and other right wingers like him booted, I don't believe party can ever form govt again. If he were leader, party would likely fall to 4th place with fewer than 10 seats outside of AB and SK and even lost most urban there.
/ Unlike most countries, political centre sits firmly on left in Canada so battle is between centre and left with right dying off and having a very bleak future at least in Canada, globally a bright one though.
