monsta x breaking the “just looks” stereotype: a thread
first you’re gonna get a little background info and then more about the members individually (ps. wonho will be included in parts of this thread <3 )
monsta x was formed on a survival show called no mercy. starting with 12 (13 when they introduced changkyun) members. each week they were rated and had to prove their worth and an artist. in the end monsta x debuted as 7 members
even from the beginning with their first album “Trespass” they were very heavily involved with the composing and writing of the tracks. jooheon and changkyun contributed a lot to production and other members wrote lyrics
in general, rap line (consisting of joohoney and changkyun (I.M) are vv involved in producing their tracks as well as writing most of their own raps
in 2015 they won “Next Generation Asian Artist” @ MAMA (which you don’t win by just having looks just saying 
)

NOW ONTO HOW WELL ROUNDED THEY ALL ARE :)
as a whole all members showed off their singing abilities in their album “all about luv” AS WELL AS this performance of Versace on the floor (added bc i luv it)
starting with shownu, the leader. besides how talented he is, he ALWAYS puts the members first and is an amazing leader all around. he’s the lead vocalist and his voice is GORGEOUS here’s a clip from when he was on the masked singer...TALENT
as for his dancing HES THE MAIN DANCER FOR A REASON LOVE. here’s him dancing to rainism bc who doesn’t love rainism
next minhyuck who STAYS proving everyone that the visual is SO MUCH MORE than just looks...i mean listen to him
oh and did i mention he’s an actor too?!? mhmm he stared in “High-End Crush” in 2015. MULTI-TALENTED KING
next is kihyun THE NATIONS VOCALIST i’m sure we’ve all seen this clip but here it is again for your viewing pleasure :DD
we also can’t forget when he made the entire room go with his ONE LINE (feat. shownu, hyungwon and minhyuck lmao) genuinely one of the best 3rd gen vocalists

now hyungwon our beautiful visual, lead dancer, vocalist AND rapper. YES ALL OF THOSE. his voice is BEAUTIFUL and really unique
HIS DANCING OMG his dancing is so powerful and he’s VERY charismatic on stage. once again LEAD DANCER
now joohoney, IS THERE ANYTHING THIS MAN CANT DO first off his vocals are GORGEOUS and he’s the main rapper eye-
jooheon has a very unique tone to his voice and is CRAZY powerful when he raps
OK last but NOT least the maknae changkyun. FIRST he’s an amazing rapper and his style differs a lot from jooheon’s but they actually go really well together
also his singing is so beautiful (shown a lot on the “all about luv” album) but his dancing is really special
as you can see monsta x may be GORGEOUS but they are so much more than just their looks and they are an immensely talented and well rounded group. but not only that, one of their best qualities is how they treat their fans.
they are always thinking of monbebe and are constantly creating new content for us. for instance on average they release 3 dance practices per comeback just for fans to enjoy (hyungwon dino suit will always be iconic)
they’ve had 3 world tours (and are preparing for a fourth) and their fandom has grown tremendously with each tour
