Trump is ranting, hopping from topic to topic with no regard for coherence

Trump is straight up delivering a campaign attack speech against Joe Biden from the White House

Let's be clear about what's going on here -- Trump manipulated reporters to gather at the White House so he could get attention on this absolutely unhinged rant

Trump lies and says, "if we did half the testing, we'd have half the cases... the cases are created b/c of the fact we do tremendous testing"

In fact, those Covid cases would exist even without testing. People would still be getting sick and dying. Testing does not create them.

"The European Union was formed in order to take advantage of United States" -- we've entered the doing Putin's bidding part of Trump's rant

"They're murderers, they're killers in some cases" -- Trump's last two scheduled rallies have been failures, so his solution seems to be to force reporters to sit through a rally rant

Imagine overseeing a coronavirus outbreak that has resulted in more than twice as many people in your country dying as the second hardest-hit country, then attacking Mexico for not doing a better job handling the pandemic

"Look at Chicago, what a disaster. And we are waiting for them to call us, 'cause we're all set to go. We have the FBI. We have Homeland Security. We have everybody ready to go." -- Trump is very thirsty to use force against people in blue cities

TRUMP: "There is nothing that the African American community wants more than school choice."

"They will go over to a section where there aren't people, not an entry point, and they'll make a left into the United States ... loaded up with human traffic" -- Trump is playing the hits

Trump, still ranting, claims Joe Biden wants to "abolish the suburbs." (Keep in mind this press event was supposed to be about China!)

Trump dismisses polling showing him losing to Biden, urges reporters to "look at the intercoastal in Florida ... you've got the Trump/Pence sign all over ... you look at bikers for miles & miles riding up highways proudly with their signs."

Trump abruptly ends the news conference after taking just a few questions, closing with a softball from ultra-sycophantic OAN.

All in all, it was one of his nuttier press events -- and the coronavirus pandemic that is ravaging life in the US was barely mentioned.
