Do you not realize the people you’re putting at risk? NOT TO MENTION.. you said you understand how much more work this is for teachers.. yet are you paying more for this work? hazard pay? paid sick time when I get covid?? @NC_Governor

@NC_Governor part of the plan takes away specials, RECESS, and has lunch in our classrooms? great.. so when do I use the bathroom? when is my “break”? Also, have you ever been in a classroom? HOW do I comfort a child from 6 ft away? HOW do I help tie their shoes?

@NC_Governor next.. we have an incredibly high rate of physical fights and emotional trauma in my district. How did you want us to address that from 6 ft away? Do I let them fight to save myself? Or do I stop that fight and risk my health?

@NC_Governor My 2nd graders hardly keep their SHOES on.. you think they’re going to keep their masks on!?!? & what about my students that aren’t at the same developmental level as their peers? If they can’t put their own masks on.. who puts that on for them?

@NC_Governor What about the teachers that have jobs at bars and restaurants? You’re okay with them working the bars at night and coming to school the next day to be around EVERYONE ELSE!? They work 2nd, 3rd, 4th jobs because we are already paid NOTHING

@NC_Governor North Carolina deserves better than this. I understand where our federal government is failing us as a country by denying us another stimulus check and beyond, but you had the opportunity to do better. DO BETTER

@NC_Governor FINALLY, I spend THOUSANDS of dollars on my students. & yes you can say it’s my choice to do so... but how would my students learn without the resources I’ve purchased? My district has NO FUNDS for the supplies needed to even teach a NORMAL classroom!!!!!!
