RDO is in beta, it will get better.

RDO is out of beta, but they are busy developing the PC version is will get better

Rockstar is on Christmas holiday right now, they can’t patch the 350 moonshiner DLC glitches. Be patient.
In case you didn’t know, there’s a pandemic going on right now. They can’t develop content right now.

*every AAA studio released one or multiple large DLCs since March except Rockstar*

Rockstar is waiting for next gen to update the game, then they will get started. Be patient.
Do you see where this is going? It goes on and on. The goalpost keeps moving. This game has received updates that pale in comparison to its GTA predecessor both in terms of quantity AND quality.
We were told to be good little sheep and have FAITH and wait patiently because one more thing is right around the corner and THEN this game will finally get started. Its no big deal. Things take time. Just wait a little longer. 1 year and 8 months later players are still waiting.
This is coming from a company that doesn’t feel like they owe it to their customers to keep them up to date with their own products.
But hey at least theyre not EA copy and pasting the same sports games year after year or Activision forcing IW/3arch to place predatory MTX loot boxes in COD which actually isn’t a thing anymore. Pay no attention to RDO/GTAO because its R* but talk in nauseum about everyone else.
That is how we have gotten to where we are. The saying goes “Change happens gradually and then it happens suddenly”.

Rockstar has changed.

This has persisted because they always get a pass. But actually bringing that fact up makes indoctrinated rockstar die hards furious.
Having valid criticism for a company that so arrogantly keeps its customers in the shadows for months on end while at the same time immeatiely responding or caving to some gaming news website to dodge some controversy is totally normal.
That’s a sneaky, malicious, and weak approach to operating a business which has stated most recently as January 28, 2020 that they are “very fortunate to have such a dedicated fanbase that travels with us [Rockstar]”

It almost doesn’t seem like they are fortunate at all.
Actually, it seems like they are taking everything for granted. They are taking for granted the fact that GTAO was one of the ultimate successes of gaming, and so they choose to abuse their winning product into oblivion. GTA 5 coming to XBSX, and PS5.
That supposed VR title in the works? Yep, probably GTA 5. Rockstar takes for granted that GTA Online really is a one of a kind thing. They hit it big. Congratulations. The next up at bat was a beautiful, vibrant, and immersive Western world where the player had so many options.
It released and R* took your money & ran while promoting the amazing online features they had planned. In one particular case, the improved edge servers were touted as a big win for players because it meant less load times, more responsive gameplay input, and less latency.
Well as it turns out the multiplayer lobbies cannot handle more than 8 players connected at once before core game features start breaking down. 75% of dynamic events vanish and that point and will not spawn anymore, past 18 players and you shouldnt expect any large animals at all
Despite countless attempts to fix these massive problems they still persist. These problems are massive because the entire online infrastructure built for this game is simply not sufficient enough to work right.
It’s not a matter of issues not being fixed, it’s a matter of this entire game not being built to actually work the way it was intended to in the first place. That becomes clear in a solo lobby when every single dynamic event, stranger, animal, and mission spawns.
Red Dead Online launched in a poor state and still has not caught up since. Has it gotten better over time? I would argue otherwise. RDO has more content now than before, yes.
But when game launches with close to nothing and takes almost a whole year before a “big” update (Frontier Oursuits) releases, that is still closer to nothing than something.
If rockstar wasn’t so focused on the online maybe we would get single player DLC..

Wrong.

RDO, just like any demand for SP DLC, is just too much of a distraction for Rockstar.
Because GTAO is such a huge success there’s no need to focus on anything else right now.

Despite other companies not letting their own huge successes stop them from doing anything new it seems like that’s all Take Two wants from Rockstar and all Rockstar wants for itself.
Had Red Dead Redemption 2 not yet be in production when GTA 5 was raking in the cash from their business DLCs, I bet the entire game would not have seen the light of day.
#RedDeadClowns is for those out there who are really passionate about a game that maybe wasn’t ever meant to be. It’s for those outcasts who wanted actually wanted something different from the mob craving for fast paced action and flying vehicles.
The evolution of content in this game is supposed to be slow as stated by Rockstar. I guess expecting consistent updates which added small additions was wrong all along. Maybe what they actually meant by ‘slow’ was close to no support. That’s what’s actually happening.
So while there are tons of other games to spend time playing and (if you don’t like it don’t play it)

Just the clowns actually enjoy something in Red Dead Online for once because no one else is looking out 🤡

Keep calm and clown on, cowpokes.
