I see there is some degree of confusion about Hinata playing in MSBY for a year and leaving the team to a VLeague in Brazil... I am not sure if this explanation is accurate but..

1) It's likely that since Hinata was a relatively unknown player he was offered a one year contract with MSBY and then depending on his performance he could have been recruited into MSBY on a more permanent basis.. But Hinata also has the option to refuse to continue with MSBY

2) If his initial contract was longer than one year & he'd left it prematurely, he may have had to pay sum penalty fee type thing that similarly happens in some job contracts. It's also possible that if the other VLeague team wanted to recruit him so badly that they offer to pay-

off this penalty fee themselves, while forging the new contract.

As for the national team roster, it's about 20 something players chosen from the entire nation to represent the country over different tournaments that need representatives of Japan - like +

the Olympics, VNL, Grand Prix, etc.

Different age categories may have different participants as well, since Under 19, Under 21, Under 23 international level tournaments also occur.

PS: also to clarify it's also possible for hinata to have paid the penalty fee himself so he can go to the league abroad.. bt it's usually a big amt, bt he does have kenma sponsoring him so who knws, our man unpredictable and ambitious af
