My opposition to wearing masks has never been a self-deluded, grand patriotic gesture about liberty.
It has been and continues to be about the lack of specific goals, success metrics, and an endpoint.

Okay. To WHAT specific
point? 10,000 cases fewer per week? Per month? 1,000? Per state? Per city? Eliminating it entirely?
We're being asked to enter into an open-ended agreement with no definable end.
People have used the analogy of covering your mouth when coughing or sneezing. The difference
being if I have a cold and I sneeze or cough, I don't spend 8-12 hours a day breathing into my hand or elbow.
In NYS we went from having to wear seatbelts, to it being recommeded that kids have to be in booster seats until they hit 100 pounds, or 4'9" tall.
If we abide by
that recommendation, my 94 year old mother now needs to be put into a booster seat.
My point is if you give the government an inch, they soon take 50 miles.
Define the rules, define the success metrics, define the end point and I'll stop calling you an
authoritarian busybody.
