MARZ IS LIVE ON IG...
He's going to answer questions about going on.. great.
He said that his company's contract with his publisher (EKKO which is co-founded by Lee Sooman) ended so he just left and didn't resign because he didn't like the deal. It was no hard feelings and all the plagiarism accusations are false. This happened a year ago.
Marz also said that the master list of all the songs (including Jonghyun's and Shinee's) that people are spreading around that he supposed denied copy rights to is false. And those songs will remain.
He said that with the whole NCT situation, what happened recently was that he denied the liberty to give SM the master rights because they offered a very small sum for payment. Specifically they offered $1000 that he would have to share with his team.
MZMC said that there was no bitterness. He did not agree with the amount SM wanted to offer for all his song writers hard work. It was a simple negotiation. A measly $1000 is not worth it to the song writers for SM to make millions off their songs for as long as they want.
He doesn't want to sell his writers for less than they're worth. They all need to pay their bills and survive. What SM is offering isn't enough. These writers are ordinary people who have a life to sustain and should be properly compensated for their art.
"Don't you think that it's a little interesting how all this information leaked to put me on blast all was released to Korean media outlets on the same day"
"It's not coming from my company, we like to keep our internal business to ourselves"

I paraphrased--he's talking fast.
He said all these articles about what happened missed out information about the payment amount MZMC proposed to SM when negotiating with SM for the master rights.. Marz basically thinks its suspicious that these articles only talked about SM's pov.
Marz also said that he hasn't worked with SM for a year now and he still thinks their idols are cool (i.e Exo and NCT).
+ He doesn't get along with the vision of SM and that's fine. But if an SM artist asked to make a song with him again then he'd consider working with SM specifically again.
"Sync rights in Korea so not exist, which means songs can be exploited"
This explains as to why SM offers so little because of Korea's rules on sync rights. That's why he said he gets offered more for sync rights in China for example.
When it comes to who's offering the fee for sync rights, it's going to be SM. Ekko is MZMC's partner so they're supposed to negotiate a high offer. So he said since LSM is co founder of Ekko, they're going to negotiate a low fee because it wouldn't be in the best position for +
Ekko/SM + since they're tied. That's why he left. But he still does not blame them. They're not being unreasonable. There is no hard feelings because SM is just trying to make money.
"why did you continue to write music under sm even though they didn't pay well"

He said that he still worked b/c he was still under a contract which entailed certain obligations. Now that he isn't under a contract with SM (ended in 2018), he doesn't have to accept the bad terms.
Marz also said that he didn't want to bring everything up but since various articles popped up that have misconstrued information, he wanted to address everything.
He said that SM also wanted to use a song called "Numb" for SuperM but it ended up going to CIX.
HE SAID THAT SHINEE SONGS ARE FINE AND IT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND ALL THE RUMORS.

I'll post all my screen recordings later.
