Just got back from the mechanic. Bad news: shot wheel bearings. Worse news: my mechanic is concerned that, now that Bari Weiss has quit, there will be no one providing crucial checks on protests against guest speakers on college campuses.
He and the boys in the garage can talk of nothing else.

"The bearings are gonna run ya $900 installed. But that's nothing compared to the free reign students at small schools will now have to protest speeches by Christina Hoff Sommers. Perspective, Craig."
"I thought those bearings would last me at least 100,000 miles," I said.

"And I thought that self-identified feminists like Sommers would not be defamed as 'fascists' by people who have the audacity to claim they care about freedom," he replied.
"Craig, I think you need brake pads too."

"I just had the brakes done!"

"Maybe so," my mechanic said, "but the dust on your rims is blacker than the intellectual dark web." I see how you missed it, though. Now that Bari is gone, there's no one here to warn you of these things."
