Am I the only person who thinks marching band just shouldn’t happen this year? No amount of masks, bags around instruments, or bell covers is going to 100% guarantee your students’ safety.

Assuming there is HS football this fall (which just seems insane to me), there are way safer alternatives to Marching Band. If there are no fans in the stands, spread out a few socially distant pep bands?

Grouping 90-100 (in my case) kids together in bleachers seems disastrous

Is marching band important? Yes.

Is staying healthy, getting the best possible education you can during a pandemic, and keeping your family healthy more important? Yes.
