This crisis has me thinking a lot about the impact of timing.

Sure, people are smart, work hard and earn their merit, but so much of success boils down to timing.

My career could’ve been drastically different had I graduated in 2008 or 2020 instead of 2013.

Also, I made risky choices along the way (that were necessary to get to where I am). Had a pandemic rolled around when I was more exposed, I could’ve been less prepared for this.

...and then I would’ve been hit so hard from an already feeble position (and that impacts risk-taking down the road).

Stay humble, friends. Time (and luck) may have been on your side.
