I’ve never written a thread in my life but here we go. The “picture book audiences are too young to vote” argument seems like it’s in bad faith. Voting is only one sliver of political practice. 1/ https://twitter.com/nikkigrimes9/status/1283058605470576640
If Harris’s record is no big deal, do you think the book will include any info about how, as AG, “she weaponized technicalities to keep wrongfully convicted people behind bars rather than allow them new trials with competent counsel and prosecutors willing to play fair”?
What bothers me is the bad-faith argument about how kids are too young to vote so... so what, it doesn’t matter what they read? so they’ll be fooled into believing Harris is some kind of girl boss worth emulating? She’s a prosector. She puts people in jail.
It’s not about us not “liking Kamala” as a person. I don’t know her. Critics of the book don’t know her. What we do know, & what we are critisizing, is her record. The choices she made as an arm of the state. Will her record be discussed truthfully in the book? I’ll read it w/
an open mind! I hope the answer is yes!
