to any of my mutuals that like fae/faer pronouns I WILL SUPPORT YOU. yes it stems from pagan culture and can be used to portray an image of the fae that isn’t true but if YOU are comfortable with them, as long as you’re aware that it stems from pagan culture, it’s ok to use i say
to anybody saying it’s offensive to the culture you clearly don’t understand the premise of paganism. paganism is about loving yourself and everything on the earth equally. it’s about the gods loving you and accepting you just as you are. and if who you are is somebody who uses
fae/faer pronouns then the gods will love you for that because they love everybody and everything equally. yes there is a lot of false info about the fae out there, but somebody using fae/faer pronouns is NOT religious appropriation and i’m actually upset that people would try to
gatekeep our religion like this when the whole point is to be kind and caring to the earth and it’s inhabitants
if anybody would like to learn more about the fae and pagan culture surrounding them feel free to ask but if you aren’t pagan please don’t try and speak over the rest of us when we say fae/faer pronouns aren’t disrespectful/religious appropriation
