The following thread is personal. It's intended to ask questions and provoke legitimate discussion. Starts with a statement:

Some Black men, whether famous or not, are acting an entire ass. It's damaging the community and parts of society, as a whole. Here's why.
Hotepism:

I clown it all the time, because being wildly problematic and irrational about your race while being hypocritical deserves mockery.

How TF are you going to preach being separate while wearing Jordans and driving a Benz? Make it make sense. Hoteps thrive in talking.
Nothing else. When you sit on your ass and criticize Obama for not doing enough for Black people, ask yourself this:

With an obstructive Congress, how did you expect him to do more? He wasn't perfect, but gotdamn, the man tried. What would you do differently, within reason?
The key is within reason. Hell, I want to be the Mets third baseman, but they're not calling.

Too many times, some Black dudes have an unrealistic expectation of what can plausibly happen. Dreams and reality are mutually exclusive.
Black Women:
As a Black dude, chances are, we are related to a Black woman. Too many times, some of us will take for granted, mistreat and disregard Black women. These are someone's mamas, aunties, sisters, and cousins.
Ugly Truth: Misogynoir in the Black community is real, ugly, and underdiscussed. The backbone of the community can't be treated like trash while dudes love saying "queen".
If you put your hands on a woman in anger, you're a punkass.

As adult men, we should be able to disagree and articulate anger without smacking a woman.
Same goes with the disrespect.
As far as voting, Black women lead the way. Meanwhile, some Black dudes will abstain from voting, but be the loudest voice in the room when it comes to being pissed off. A vote is a voice. Don't vote, don't talk.
Conspiracy Theories

Rona was not caused by 5G.
Read actual articles. Your playcousin's YouTube channel with wack, unsubstantiated theories is not a credible news source.

Some of us, need to start doing legit research. It's getting embarrassing.
Voices:

I see too many Black dudes RT'ing and co-signing nonsense. Y'all really listening to Chance the Rapper or Terry Crews on issues that don't affect them? They're rich. Most of us are not. Money gives them them cover.
Worse, lining up for Farrakhan. He lives in a big ass house, telling you to reject everything. Can some of y'all not see the hilarity of a rich dude, telling those who are struggling how to live?
Shaun King ain't our friend.
DeRay isn't.

Anyone who tries to pimp merchandise or start multiple GoFundMe on the deaths of Black people are not with us.
The voice and opinion Black men need to amplify are the ones doing this because they want better. People like @NFLMaliik and @blackhanside00 ( when he's not neglecting the jab) are trying to affect change.
Yet, some will let the moisture-deprived dictate how Black dudes think. Why? Don't let the Ashmonster Generals tell y'all a gotdamn thing.
It's personal to me, because, as a Black man, I see so much untapped potential. Yet, in 2020, there can't be this much promise and so few coming through. The ability to lead and build better can be right in front of us.
Leave that hotep nonsense alone. Work on forming a strong opinion, based on facts. FFS, vote in your best interest. We are at a point, and have been at one, where sitting out is counterproductive. Riding the bench doesn't work in sports or in life. Get TF out there, do something.
At the end of every podcast, I say "Be good to yourself and be good to each other". I mean it. Black women have done the lion's share of the word with the minnow's share of the acclaim. We have to work/fight harder.

I hope we all can.
I've said all the words. You don't have to listen. I am just a regular dude with stronger opinions than a left knee( GFY, indoor football). I want better and hold folks to the highest of standard.
