Thread:

We must restructure the entire narrative around 'government money', 'stimulus checks', etc.

Why? Since the 80s, the minimum wage flatlined, at the same time government handed out corporate bailouts, tax breaks, all while claiming it's a flaw if an individual needs help.
Both parties are complicit in this. Read up on the DLC.

Repeat after me: We're not getting a 'free check', or 'a government handout', they're giving us scraps of what they stole from us for years. To reclaim what's ours, we have to shift our mindset, perhaps even a lawsuit on
behalf of Americans for everything they've let corporations bleed from us for decades. Because make no mistake, that's exactly what happened.

Additionally, our tax dollars go to funding medical studies, developing technology, and the list goes on. Do we see any profits? No.
In fact, when a drug/new technology is developed it goes to a private company and we are charged astronomical rates. Companies like Walmart and Amazon pay zero in taxes, pay their employees a substandard wage, and are often forced to go on government assistance.
Which as we all know, is money that we pay into for a social safety net.

So not only do corporations not have to pay us what we are worth, but the government subsidizes these monsters and we, the American taxpayers, have to pay the rest.

The corporate grift is monstrous.
Yes, we DO have socialism in this country, but for corporations. However, when Americans need help with just the basic necessities of life like seeing a doctor or having a roof over our heads it's, 'pull yourself up by your bootstraps', and 'stop buying avocado toasts'.

Christ.
And during this pandemic, we're witnessing the complete unmasking of both parties as they let us lose everything.

If Biden wins and I think he will, he promises 'nothing will fundamentally change'. Yes Trump is worse, but either way we're in trouble.

Consider these headlines:
Fact: Americans work more hours than any other country, and see the least benefits.

Corporations, politicians and corporate media brainwashed us into thinking it's our fault when we need help after decades of theft.

It's not.

It's time for a monumental shift. Enough is enough.
