The terms of the probation prior to "violating" it included a GPS tether, regular check-ins w/a court caseworker, counseling, no phone & the use of the school laptop for educational purposes only and required to do her schoolwork.

This is a prime exp of how Black girls get criminalized.

She was on probation for getting into an arg w/her mom & stealing a phone, which she later returned.

As appalling as it may seem to some, this is quite normal in communities of color where children w/disabilities get criminalized disproportionately.

This is the school-to-prison pipeline.

This is why we need to get rid of cops in schools. They help facilitate this.
