Farrakhan's anti-Semitism is often hedged just enough so you can cherrypick phrases to defend him (generally along the lines of: he didn't say *all* Jews!)

But the infamous "Hitler was a very great man" quote, at least in part, speaks to something different than anti-Semitism... https://twitter.com/TaliGoldsheft/status/1282321655184928775
...Here's the full graf of Farrakhan's 1984 Hitler comments... https://www.nytimes.com/1984/04/17/us/farrakhan-on-race-politics-and-the-news-media.html
...as you can see, there's enough word salad in there to argue: Farrakhan wasn't "proud" of Hitler's atrocities against the Jews! He said Hitler was a "wicked killer!...
...But note where Farrakhan is accepting the parallel to Hitler, both "are rising our people up from nothing".

And also note he describes Hitler as one of "your wicked killers." In other words, white people, writ large, own Hitler...
...What is Farrakhan ultimately trying to argue for, in making this parallel to Hitler? Full separation of the races...
...along the way of making this argument that Blacks and whites should be separated, Farrakhan argued for murderous retribution against any Black person who betrays them.

Actually, one specific Black person...
...So Farrakhan said Coleman should be killed...
...so when Farrakhan supporters like Cornel West defend the "Hitler" remark by arguing it's taken out of context, you should know what the full context was. The context was a call to murder, and a vision of racial separation.
