Chxta the article lacks substance, nonsensical and meaningless. There is a difference between nation building and a business venture. Do you want Nigeria to wait until industries spring up in those regions before laying gas pipes? When the project cost would have quadrupled.. https://twitter.com/Chxta/status/1282676951975698433
We approach issues as if the Nation should run strictly as a business. Canada built it's gas pipeline in 1912, Canadian Western Natural gas pipeline in Calgary. Which development was in Calgary in 1912?
Please show me any sensible country that waited for industrialization before laying gas pipes. The writer insinuated that the pipelines are prone to attacks along the northern corridor. Here is a map please point to the spot prone to attacks.
Calling Ajaokuta, Abuja, Kaduna and Kano where the gas pipes will pass through as the least developed and poor sounds foolish. Ajaokuta is home to steel and feldspar, Kogi is home to coal, limestone, marble and iron ore.

Kaduna isn't poor by any standards. Rich in resources..
Massive capacity for industrialization. Kano is a commercial hub with several industries and a gateway to North Africa. Must we complain about everything? The FG is making preparations in terms of gas for industrialization.
Isn't gas / power a strong prerequisite for this?
Can the writer please mention any country in the world that moves gas via rail networks? He should please show us the reasonability and profitability of such venture.

Must we complain? We wait for development to build roads, knock down houses and pay compensation.
We wait for development to build drainage networks then suffer from flood. According to you Nigeria should wait for development to lay gas pipes. The article is junk !!!
