If the government can send around a stupid letter to every household in the UK then the government should also provide those from low-income homes with the money to buy masks.

I would say a washable face mask puts you back £6-10. Let& #39;s say you buy 2, so when you are washing 1 you have 1 to wear. That& #39;s somewhere between £12-20 of your income.
Now imagine you are a family of 4.
Low-income families don& #39;t have that type of money.

Yes you can make your own masks - but some people can& #39;t/the materials still may cost even if not as much.
Also a lot of people won& #39;t KNOW they can make masks.
