a thread of (allegedly) relevant Judith Collins events, for the undecided voter:

in 2009, Collins leaked personal information to a far-right blogger about a public servant she believed had wronged her; the blogger published the person's identity and encouraged his readers to send them targeted abuse and death threats

in 2011, Collins did the same thing, this time about the Director of the Serious Fraud Office whom she was trying to have removed. she tried to use to the blogger to get "dirt" on the Director, and was privy to blog posts he going to write that would disparage the Director

in 2014, it was alleged Collins had used her ministerial position to lobby Chinese officials at a dinner in Beijing on behalf of a company of which her husband was a director

in 2010, Collins used her position as Corrections minister to move a prisoner between prison sites, as a quid pro quo to the right-wing blogger who was assisting the National party conduct campaigns of vilification

in 2012, the blogger was given details about a massive privacy breach at ACC before any other media organization, after he called Collins to "find out" if his friend was implicated in the breach

Collins historically referred to Jacinda Ardern, before she became Prime Minister, as "My Little Pony" (indeed, in correspondence with the blogger)

from 2012 - 2014, Collins' office failed to disclose Official Information Act requests from the blogger sent to her as Minister of Justice. one of the requests, relating to David Bain’s compensation bid, was received and processed in 37 minutes.

all this is to say nothing about Collins' policy failings in her various ministerial positions, but to point out her immense moral failings and deep, deep corruption. keep this list on hand as talking points when seeing your friends with poor memories

and if, presented with all this, they say "so what"....find new friends
