After reading the above thread, here is a simple explanation of 1 point about how colonisers snatched the identity of Indian dishes cz they cant remember 1000s of names.Example
1) Chicken tikka ---Curry No1
2) Kadhai Chicken-- Curry No2
3)Chicken Korma---Curry No3 +

These are three different chicken dishes with 3 different names with 3 different recepies and igredients. But no, colonizers wanted to give all these dishes as 1 name called curry. See the difference b/w real names n 'curry' +

India/desi countries r nt limited to naan. Naan is thick n hard, not eaten daily(most in resturants) Alternative of naan is Roti which is thin and soft eaten daily not in all houses as diff region as diff foods. Another alternative. Naan,rotis,Parantha hv n number of varities +

Another misconception that spices of India means chillies.
Spices.Also spices are not limited to Desi countries, Entire Asia uses different combination of spices to add different flavour. Idk what spices people use outside Asia +

And the Most imp one. Do all Indians eat with Hands? Answer is No.
How do you tear a paper? Hands/fingers
How do you eat chips?Hands. So when you eat rotis/naan, you need to tear it just like paper. When you can eat chips with hands then why not naan as well! +

Mostly people eat rice with spoon with sone people also eat with hands?
Uff hands isnt it unhygienic? Dude,in 21st century we have things called Soap and water to wash our hands before eating. +

If you visit any indian/desi resturants, after every meal waiters will provide a bowl of warm water with slices of lemon dipped in it to rub our hands, finger, nails with lemon,a citrus that is an antioxidant and wash it with warm water. +

Also, people in India eat with chopsticks as well. North, North East, west, South india has different dishes, im not mentioning cz there are lots of threads already made. Neighboring desi countries have their own varieties as well+

Also Not all Indians are poor. Yes there are millions of people who live Below poverty Line. INDIA WAS RICHEST COUNTRY B4 COLONISATION. +

Colonisers collected huge taxes from poor indians, stole their land and goods at low price and sold them to other coutries at immense prices. L0ndon ended up with all gold and silver that should have gone directly to the Indians in exchange for their exports.~Aljazeera article +
