Something I’ll never understand: People in a fandom complaining when someone ships minors of the show/series together, because my god, minors would never kiss or have sex or whatever. Like- Have you all been teenagers? Who read Teenager books??
The protagonist are usually 14/15/16/17 years old! And most of those books are about those people finding a partner/getting together with them/sleeping with them. That’s literally what teenage love novels are about! And not fandom police be like “it’s gross to ship minors with
each other ewww they are still lil kids!”
You also can’t tell me that minors under 18 aren’t having sex and being sexually active with other minors. It’s fricking NORMAL! Most of the people saying such BS that it isn’t would probably not give their children “the talk” either
before it’s too late and then they end up with a daughter who is pregnant at 15 because nobody has told them what proper peotection is! Don’t put all minors inside a blanket because you assume some topics are “only for adults”. Sorry to pop your bubble, but it doesn’t
work like that in real life. So stop telling adults they are gross for enjoying fictional love stories of teenagers written by adults :) Everyone did at some point and it’s not starting to get “weird” just because you’re over 18.
I am 21 myself and still read books mostly directed at teenagers and older kids because the story is interesting! And the children rarely behave their actual age as well, so the books are still relatable for adults. And yes, relationships happen in those books as well!
^ Trigger for this post was, once again, the mdzs fandom where people seriously are like “oohhh don’t ship the juniors with each other they’re kids that‘s grooossss“ when even the juniors are already around 15 years old. Don’t let peeps get through with that crap
