So I have something to say about our pattern of voting on fanplus, and it’s been on my mind for a while, I just didn’t have the guts to say it before. This fandom has a problem with favoritism in skz.

Now before you jump down my throat, let me say that this is a universal problem in every fandom I’m in. I’m not really mad at that because I’ve accepted it as a fact of life ig. It happens. Some members are more visible or active or loved than others for various reasons +

and that’s okay, it’s okay to have biases, that’s why we label them as our biases, but when it comes to voting, it’s really upsetting to watch.

I ult minbinsung and also bias hyunchan. I remember being so excited when we got that massive win for Jisung for best rapper +

A couple months ago, how hard we worked, how everyone was constantly screaming about voting the whole time, how we organized a whole voting strategy to mass vote at the end. It was amazing, and we deserved that win.

Then the very next month, was Minho’s vote for best dancer, +

and it was like someone flipped a switch in the fandom. Everyone stopped talking about voting, no voting strategies were made, and if I recall, we couldn’t even get him to third place. All of my friends list on fanplus became ia, no one was sending votes, everyone just stopped.

We finished the voting with less than HALF of what we’d had for Jisung, and he didn’t place in the top three. Now I don’t think we could’ve actually won that vote bc I think that was the same vote that the top two dropped like 50M votes in the first day alone, but +

we still could’ve gotten him in the top three. But no one seemed to care. Even when the vote was close to ending and the gap was small, no one was screaming about it like we did with Jisung. I can’t explain how upset I was, how hurt I was. I love Jisung with all my heart +

but I love minho just as much and watching the difference in commitment from stay between the two tore me apart. He was practically ignored.

The Changbin situation is a bit different bc we actually had a huge commitment on this one it felt like and we had even more +

votes for him than I think we even did Jisung, so like wow. Plus we couldn’t have really competed with the other fandoms dropping THAT many votes, but it brought back the same reminder that if we had all been as equally committed to it like we were with Jisung, we +

would’ve made voting strategies and maybe we could’ve competed with it.

I’m not mad at the fans of particular members and I’m not pointing fingers. If you’ve been equally dedicating yourself to voting for each member then I love you and appreciate you, but you can’t tell me +

that this isn’t a problem. This isn’t saying it’s Jisung stans either I’m just using the Jisung minho situation to show you the comparison. It seems that fans of certain members only care when it’s their bias, and when it isn’t, they seem to have the mentality of +

“Not my problem.” All the boys deserve ALL our love. I may have biases and ults, and I may scream about certain members more than others on tl, but I love them all with my whole heart and would do anything for any of them. That’s what it means to me to stan a group.

Just becasue I have favorites doesn’t mean I love the others any less, but it really feels that way for some people, especially for members like Minho and Changbin, and it makes me so sad.

If you’re gonna participate in voting, participate equally for all members, +

not just your bias. They all went through hell to get here and all deserve the world. Please I am begging you to commit to all of them. Stop only caring when it involves your bias.

And once again, if you’ve been equally dedicating yourself to every vote then this isn’t about you, and if you have personal reasons for maybe not being as active during certain votes as others (which I’ve had happen), then don’t feel guilty! This is just directed +

at those who explicitly and clearly only care about voting for their bias. Please DO NOT use this as a way to point fingers at people and start a fandom civil war, just use it to reflect about your dedication and elicit change in yourself and others so we can support all of skz.

I’m really glad people agree with my thoughts or are at least finally seeing the issue for what it is. Please support all the boys equally, even if you do have favorites. Im going to mute this thread now <3

It has been brought to my attention that I got some of my facts mixed up in my statement about minhos fanplus voting. He had about 2/3ish of what Jisung had, and he did finish in 3rd place. This mistake was not done on purpose or with any negative intent to twist the +

narrative to my “agenda,” I was only stating what I sincerely remembered, and it’s my fault for not double checking. My memory was clearly warped, and I apologize for that mistake.

This doesn’t change the fact that there is still an issue with the dedication people +

put in for different members. This thread was never about the numbers because numbers are subjective !!! My point was that we should all put in at least some minimal effort to support every member, not only our biases. There is nothing wrong with having biases and being +

excited to support them, just please also make sure that you support other members as well.
