For people who support the tenets of BLM but have other things as their priority, whether that’s health issues or getting food on the table, Not seeing protests reported is a signal to put their energy elsewhere. Stop donating, stop calling politicians, you’re done.

Ignore the atrocities continuing to happen. Many of them will try to ignore it even as their constituents are demanding change. But without even that demand from a broad swath of folks, they will tell themselves and everyone else that they only prioritized what they were told to
