Benefits of wearing masks in shops: disguises lack of jaw definition (me), excuse to go all out on eye makeup (yes gawd!), seeing which commentators are huge babies and refuse to entertain even the mildest inconvenience in order to minimise the risk of passing on a deadly virus.

I think it’s fair enough to question whether masks in shops will be in place until the R rate is close to zero, there’s a vaccine, or it’ll be the new normal to prevent the spread of flu etc. But throwing a hissy fit over having to do it at all? Clown shoes!
